Mr. Rajesh Kumar Dokwal

One of the founding members and trustees of the foundation
Mr. Dokwal is an accomplished all-rounder. His inclination
towards academics was exhibited since his days of schooling
as was a proud winner of a National Scholarship in
Matriculation. His academic orientations strengthened when
he topped the University in Psychology and the District in
B. Ed. Examination.
As a graduate in Botany, he has
a great interest in life sciences, environment and ecology.
As the Chairman of Nature Foundation (India) he has been
active in dissemination of information on environmental &
ecological issues. He is equipped with a rare insight
which is a derivable of inquisitiveness and logic of
science, (being a graduate in science) coupled with the
sensitiveness of humanities (B Ed. & Masters in Psychology).
He had been a successful banker all through his
professional life. At the age of just 28, he was handed over
with the responsible designation of Manager of a District
Head Quarters Branch of a Nationalized Bank. He has also
been the General Secretary for Bankers' Club in Bulandshahar
& Muzaffarnagar District Headquarters of U.P.
At the
young age of 35 years Mr. Dokwal was chosen by Rotary
International for a study tour of USA in 1989.
He
had conceptualized and implemented the Jagriti Independence
Scholarship program of Rashtriya Jagriti Sansthan aimed at
recognizing, selecting and motivating the meritorious school
students all over India. The program was launched from the
precincts of the Parliament House Annexes by former Lok
Sabha Speaker Mr. P.A. Sangma.
This was resultant of
the intelligence and emotional quotient he has been imbibed
with that after a dedicated banker for majority of his life,
a transition to the social side was made with almost the
same commitment. |

Mr. Indra Dev (Chief Co-ordinator
Projects)

Another trustee of Nature
Foundation (India), Mr. Indra Dev was born in 1956 in an
academically oriented family. His dedication towards
studies was well known since his initial days at school.
He did his Masters in Economics and Hindi Literature.
His service at The Nainital Bank Ltd. for 19 years won
many appreciations and was recognized as distinguished
at various events. He has proved himself as an astute
Banker, and had been highly successful in his career. .
His innate inter personal skills have imparted
leadership qualities, resulting in his being the
President of the Officers' Association of Nainital Bank
Ltd. for a long period of 15 years. During his service
period with Bank he has always proved himself by getting
his branch adjudged as one of the best branches. His
business acumen and interpersonal skills are some of his
rare assets. He was the Secretary of the Bankers' Club
for 3 years at Muzaffarnagar.
As one of the
patrons of the Nature Foundation (India) he has been
rendering his contribution to the society as a social
activist. At 52 years of age he was Chief Executive
Officer of Bhagyodaya Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd till
Dec 2007.

Dr. Ishwar Chandra (Trustee (Co-opted))

| |
Dr.Ishwar Chandra, a member of Nature Foundation
(India), is a renowned pediatrician of western Uttar Pradesh.
He had been active in the field of pediatrics for the last 24
years. He is an alumnus of King George Medical College,
Lucknow.
He is actively engaged in philanthropy and has
been instrumental in holding blood donation and health
check-up camps in Muzaffarnagar & nearby areas. He was elected
as President of Muzaffarnagar chapter of Indian Medical
Association in 2001. Apart from leadership role in activities
of Rotary Club and Jaycees club. His Leadership qualities were
apparent at an early age when in 1981-82 at the young age of
25 he was chosen as Honorable secretary of U.P Junior Doctors
Association and Organizing Secretary of U.P Branch of Indian
Academy of Pediatrics in the year 1996. The Government
Authorities have also recognized his social credentials by
making him a member of the National Pulse Polio Surveillance
Project at the State and National level. The Rotary Club
International Distt 3100 has made him Chairman of the
Differently Abled Persons Committee and he has also been
accorded with “Presidents Citation” in 2007. He has also been
honored with National Award for Outstanding Community Project
of Jaycees for organizing camp for the Handicapped.
He
is a life member of many Professional Associations viz. IMA,
IAP, Neonatology Forum of the India etc.

Mr. Rakesh Khatri (Executive
Director)

Mr. Rakesh Mr. Khatri, also one of the founding members
and trustees of the organisation. He pursued his higher
education from Delhi University in Humanities. He has
over 20 years of experience in Print Media and Film
Editing. A well known documentary film maker by
profession he always had environment and water related
issues close to his heart and thus has worked on
numerous projects on the same lines.
He started
his career as Photo Journalist with Times of India
Publications. He has also marked distinguished service
with The Illustrated Weekly and then moved on to Film
Photography with the famous Eves Weekly and Star &
Style. He has been associated as a Photo journalist with
several eminent Editors of Print Media. He has been
active in Electronic Media since 1985 and has registered
several milestones in his distinguished career which are
as follows:
1. The first film for the
Parliamentary Consultative Committee named ‘Vayudoot’
which was highly acclaimed.
2. Produced the 118
episodes on Gurbani Shabads for Doordarshan with Dr.
Harbhajan Singh, Dr Mahip Singh, Anoop Jalota and other
well known playback singer in the likes of Asha Bhonsle.
3. Produced many programs on different issues like
Interactive Education, Awareness Campaign and
Institutional Documentation.
4. Directed the 1st
of its kind video documentation in India on ISO 9000 and
Total Quality Management for FICCI and ASSOCHAM.
5. A highly appreciated Documentation of Havelis of
India which was telecasted numerous times on different
channels of DD is also to his credit.
6. A
serial telecasted on DD ‘Prof Wasan’ with Sohila Limay
Kapoor & Girish Karnad which was also the best serial of
DD for the year 1992 on the basis of the content and the
ratings was also one of his brainchild.
7. One
of the latest of his highly acclaimed film is on
Rajasthan Traditional Water Harvesting,(SAMATNEY
SAHAEJNAY KA VIGYAN) . The film was nominated in Best
Film Category in VATAVARAN Film Festival and also showed
in almost 100 schools and programs. It was also part of
the show in XII International Rainwater Catchments
System's Conference, Delhi in November 2005. It was
nominated for the screening Quotes from the Earth, a
Film Festival on the environment held in New Delhi. 2006
under the theme of ‘earth, survival and water’.
Presently working on two subjects
An informative series with a group of NGO’s on water
based issues.
A series on the Ancient
Traditional Musical Instruments of Uttranchal and
Rajasthan aimed at children.
